Undisputed master of "So-kou" (single-chord violin), Zoumana Téréta has accompanied many artist musicians from Mali (Bassékou Kouyaté, Ali Farka Touré, Oumou Sangaré, Djénéba Seck, Toumani Diabaté, ...). As a child, he went to rehearse under the baobabs away from his father, who forbade him to play this instrument. Zoumana Téréta said Zou comes from Saï in the circle of Macina (Ségou / Mali). Zoumana, the Bozo, has a long time crisscrossed the roads between the Ivory Coast and Mali accompanied by his favorite instrument, a monochord fiddle rubbed by an archer. He will then be found at the National Badema and the National Instrumental Ensemble of Mali. Died in 2017, he released their first album "Niger Blues" in October 2003. In "Bozo Fama" this posthumous album, he revisits the Bambara pentatonic repertoire of Ségou always accompanied by his violin.
